HunASCO
Hungarian Academy of Sciences Contact Office to the EU
Mission
To promote effective participation in EU-funded R&D programmes and
other related activities by the provision of advice, guidance and training
as well as to foster the integration of HAS into European Research Area.
Clients
HunASCO represents all research institutions and the Hungarian scientific
community (researchers, research managers, administrators and policy-makers)
linked to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It is an initiative funded
by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS).
Services
Acting as information
and networking platform in Brussels:
- Strategic consultancy and guidance on EU Research funding programmes;
- Enquiry service, giving advice and practical guidance on gaining and managing EU funding opportunities, insight into the latest developments in policies, programme areas, the European Institutions and other emerging issues at European level;
- Searching and facilitating links with European partners; assistance in identifying project partners;
- Providing the stakeholders with assistance to overcome the problems they encounter during their projects and related activities;
- Information/presentation provider for conferences, seminars, workshops etc. to train and inform the stakeholders;
- Arranging and facilitating meetings of HAS researchers/representatives with relevant EC officers;
- Meeting room in Brussels - ensuring basic support infrastructure and assistance for meetings of HAS representatives and researchers.
Develop and maintain
continuous and close contact to European institutions and similar bodies;
Carrying out lobbying
activities in line with the EU strategies of HAS;
Promotion of the research
activities of HAS institutes; providing information about HAS based research
and development for the European institutions representatives (i.e. European
Parliament, European Commission, the Council of EU and others);
Providing relevant information
and assistance to visitors, Hungarian members of respective EU organizations/institutions,
advisory bodies and politicians interested in R&D;
Providing information
for the website of HAS to facilitate all stakeholders with easy access
to updated information.
